What it governs
- No tinderbox is given: fire is discovered by friction, and by failing.Charter, Part IV — Production group
- Nothing is cooked, smelted, warmed or lit before the first fire.
- Better wood burns longer, and fires go out, so fuel is a supply line.
- Light gates the dark: night sight, caves, and Crafting's torch-to-lantern ladder.
- Fire is a weapon: thatch is kindling, timber burns slowly, stone never.
- Arson exists: irreversible, hard to pin on anyone, and infamous once pinned.
What happens today
Working a heap of wood makes fire one time in four at first, and always from level 40.
What opens, and when
The charter gives Firemaking no ladder and no levels.
